Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital seeks healthy bid?
Mumbai-based Hiranandani Developers built the group’s flagship healthcare facility, Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital in suburban Mumbai, unveiling ambitions for a play in the healthcare delivery space. But sources suggest that the group does not stay bullish on the space anymore, having put up their upcoming 200-bed facility in Thane for sale, toting a price tag of Rs 270 - 300 crore. The hospital is being constructed as a part of the Rodas Enclave project, housing 18 residential towers.

Dr Sujit Chatterjee, CEO, Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital says that no definitive decision has been reached. “The project has been a bit slow, so there are rumours. Ideally, we should have commissioned the hospital by now,” says Chatterjee, “It is difficult to put a date as to when the project may be commissioned. But we are looking at mid-2015."

He, however, does not negate the possibility of the involvement of a third party. “We are not averse to business as far as healthcare is concerned. If we get a terrific offer from someone to partner with the project, we may consider it.”
