After a long tiring day, going home and resting in your bed can be therapeutic and having fresh, new bedsheets adds a feel-good factor to your comfortable abode.

But that doesn't mean you have to let go of your favourite old bedsheets. Instead follow these DIY tips and transform your old bedsheets into charming décor items:

Curtains
This is one of the easiest décor hacks. Transforming your old bed sheets into curtains instantly adds a quirky summery touch to your windows. These curtains are not only colorful and fresh, but are also easy to clean and maintain. Add a touch of lace to join different fabrics or at the bottom edge for new look.

Lampshades
Your old bedsheets can be transformed into chic lampshades in just two easy steps;

- Measure the fabric needed to cover your lampshade and cut up the amount of bedsheet needed
- Stick it on with adhesive and use wooden pins to hold it together till the adhesive dries. Add sequins, crystals and baubles to catch the glint of light through the lamp shade.

These simple yet unique lampshades are sure to up the style quotient of your room.

Wall Art
Making a patchwork quilt with your old bedsheets is the most common thing to do. However, you could also use irregular patches of bedsheets and stick them together on a hard background to make a mosaic wall art.
