The rapper also pledged $10,000 from his charity for every $100,000 raised, after a meeting with the Illinois Governor to discuss funding education in Chicago proved unfruitful. This is not the first time the rapper has advocated for public education. In 2015, along with other music artistes like Ludacris and Christina Milian, he helped raise $100,000 for the city’s public schools through the Get Schooled Program.
