Donald Trump-Vladimir Putin in deja vu ‘House of Cards’ moment at G20 Summit

NEW DELHI: One particular moment during a Friday meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin bore eerie similarities to a scene from the hit US Netflix drama ' House of Cards'. And people noticed.

On a 2015 episode of the TV show, the fictional US President Frank Underwood is meeting with the head of the 'Russian Federation' Viktor Petrov. The parts are played by Kevin Spacey and Lars Mikkelsen, respectively.

Here's a photograph of a moment from that fictional meeting.



On the left is Russia's Petrov and on the right is the US's Underwood. Their expressions convey the context - tense negotiations over a missile defence system.



Now, take a look at that moment from Friday's Putin-Trump meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany.
