AHEMDABAD: A person in stress goes to a doctor to get treated. But, what if a doctor finds himself in stress? The medicos have found an answer in the Gandhian ideals and principles.

Doctors and medical students will participate in a workshop on Friday at BJ Medical College where they will learn about the Gandhian way to beat stress of their routine life. A city-based psychiatrist Prashant Bhimani will also interact with the participants.

Dr Bharat Shah, dean of B J Medical College, said that the participants will wear khadi on the day and will seek inner peace with the help of Gandhian values.

"Everyone has been facing stress nowadays, whether doctor, medical student or nursing staff. Even if a person says he or she does not have any stress that also indicates about the presence of stress," Shah said.

Invitation has been extended to VS hospital and LG hospital so that all can attend the workshop. "If we get a positive feedback from the participants, we may extend the workshop," added Shah.

He said there will be a detailed question-answer session so that the participants could understand the core of Mahatma Gandhi's ideology.
