While women are breaking into many of the so-called ‘all boys club’ in business. But when it comes to networking, women CEOs are lagging behind. That’s the observation of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) CEO Christina Ruggiero, the first woman CEO of Coke India’s bottling company.

“It’s something probably we need to work on,” she says, adding that she has been trying to right it by spending time with other women CEOs in the company.

Every year, the Bengaluru-based Ruggiero has a lunch date with Hong (Selina) Yang, COO, COFCO International, China, and Alison Watkins, group MD, Coca-Cola Amatil, Australia during the Asia Pacific leadership meet.

“There’s been a new crop of women CEOs that have come up just in the last couple of months, across different industries but not so much in sales and manufacturing. I try to touch base with them to see how things are going,” Ruggiero says.
