Water works wonders and drinking large amount of water cleanses the body and helps get rid of toxins that have been accumulated. A glass of coconut water a day is also good for the body.
Jasmine tea
If you are guilt tripping over the fried snacks, there is help. Four cups of jasmine tea a day will help improve the digestive system and lower the cholesterol level.

Avoid milk products
Diwali means an overdose of sweets and milk products. Hence, while trying to detox, skip milk products for at least three days. Milk can slow down detoxification.
Ginger juice
Kitchen remedies are often the best. Warm a glass of water and add one tablespoon of honey and ginger juice. This will help relieve the intestinal gas and digestive distress.
Fruits

Binge-eating done, now have a fruit-filled diet for two days straight to detoxify the body. Pulses and grains put a lot of pressure on the lungs, hampering digestion.
Additionally, steer clear of fried food. Instead, opt for idly sandwich, dhokla, fruit chaat and other low-fried items.
