Divine intervention: Deepika-Ranveer offer prayers at Golden Temple in Amritsar with family

NEW DELHI: DeepVeer's first wedding anniversary was a spiritual affair. After visiting the Lord Venkateswara shrine at Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were spotted at the Golden Temple in Punjab's Amritsar today.
Posting similar pictures on Instagram, the couple sought blessings. Singh's image caption read, "Satnam Waheguru (in Punjabi). Overcome with sheer gratitude".
The couple wore Sabyasachi creations to the temple. Padukone looked like a newly-wed bride in a gold and maroon salwar suit with heavy embroidery. She completed her look with heavy jewellery and a matching dupatta wrapped around her head. The 'Gully Boy' actor opted for a printed kurta pyjama paired with a floral Nehru jacket and a matching scarf, covering his head.
Marking the special moment of their life in a divine way on first anniversary, the duo offered prayers at Harmandir Sahib. The couple was accompanied by their families. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were clicked exchanging a good laugh outside the temple premises. The much-loved couple ceremoniously tied the knot last year on November 14 in Italy's Lake Como in a traditional South Indian ceremony following which they also had a North Indian wedding a day after on November 15.

On the work front, the couple has starred together in a number of films including Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Goliyon ki Rasleela Ram-Leela', 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Padmaavat'.
On the work front, DeepVeer will together star in Kabir Khan's '83' with Singh essaying the role of World Cup-winning former Indian captain Kapil Dev while needless to say, Padukone will play his on-screen wife.
