Gone are the days of extended vacations, feels Ravi Krishnan, CEO and co-founder, Stepathlon Lifestyle. He is now a proponent of shorter, but probably more frequent breaks. It helps recharge much better.

Like the weekend he spent in Kochi, Kerala just ten days before his daughter, Mairah, was scheduled to leave for her new school in Bali, Indonesia. The duo flew to the city on a Friday afternoon and spent the weekend walking around, satiating their taste buds and exercising.

They even met up with Ravneet Gill (CEO, Deutsche Bank) and family for dinner. The Gills own an apartment in Fort Kochi, a popular area within the city.

Of course how recharged you return depends on your holiday itinerary, feels Krishnan. Like when he accompanied Mairah to Bali, it was just a five-day visit. “The Bali trip was all about waking up at 5:30 am, eating organic food, swimming, exercising. If you just party for five days, of course you’ll come back tired,” he said.
