Diljit Dosanjh faces legal notice over alleged ticket price manipulation ahead of 'Dil-Luminati India tour'
Diljit Dosanjh has received a legal notice from a fan, Riddhima Kapoor, over alleged malpractices in ticket sales for his Dil-Luminati India tour. Riddhima claims the organisers manipulated ticket availability, leading to scalping and inflated pri...

In her legal notice, Riddhima alleges that the organisers manipulated ticket availability, leading to scalping and inflated prices. "Manipulation for ticket prices, unfair trade practices, and scalping of tickets for Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati India Tour" was the subject line of her complaint. She stated that although the booking time was set for September 12 at 1 pm, tickets were released a minute earlier, allowing them to be sold out almost instantly.
Additionally, Riddhima revealed that she acquired an HDFC credit card specifically to access early-bird passes but still failed to secure a ticket. "The sudden unavailability of tickets strongly suggests manipulation and scalping practices. This abrupt transaction indicates that your organisation may be artificially inflating demand and manipulating prices," she claimed, citing violations of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
The legal notice has also been sent to other entities involved, including Zomato, HDFC Bank, and Saregama Pvt Ltd, though they have not yet responded to the allegations.
Diljit Dosanjh’s highly anticipated Dil-Luminati Tour is set to cover 10 cities across India, kicking off in Delhi at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 26, 2024. The tour will then head to Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati.
