Did Bobby Deol take money from his father-in-law?

A recent interview by Bobby Deol went viral, mainly for the actor’s candid revelations.

Deol also spoke about his wife, Tanya’s legal battle with her brother over their late father, banker Dev Ahuja’s sizable assets. Ahuja, promoter of Centurion Bank and MD of 20th Century Finance company, left behind property worth an estimated Rs 300 crore when he died on August 20, 2010. At the time, his son Vikram was engaged in a bitter feud for the assets with his father and Ahuja reportedly didn’t want Vikram to perform his last rites, so Deol had stepped up.

Vikram, meanwhile, was said to have accused his father of being biased towards his sister Tanya and brother-in-law Deol. “People believe that I got a load of money from my wife’s family. It’s ridiculous,” Deol said in his huffingtonpost.in interview.

“My wife is involved in a legal battle with her brother and that has drained us.” Looks like more than six years on, the matter lies unresolved.
