Diana Edulji bats for gender equality, just wants 'cricket to be run in the right way'
Edulji does not need anyone’s help to get a grip on her new role as an Indian cricket administrator.

She has braved an audience with a former BCCI president, who told her that women should not play cricket and that BCCI had a women’s team only because it was mandatory. After giving a few interviews in her initial days in office, Edulji now politely declines press queries. “Please give me some time to settle in the job,” she says.
However, Edulji did say that the new panel, headed by the former CAG of India Vinod Rai, has had a marathon meeting or two. Edulji looked relaxed in the evening air on the Press Club terrace in Mumbai. Why risk the mood by talking about the cricket board?.
