Dia Mirza says Sajid Khan was 'obnoxious, extremely sexist'; Bipasha disturbed by his lewd jokes on set

Five days after three actresses detailed harassment against Bollywood director Sajid Khan, two other stars have also joined the chorus against him. While Dia Mirza, who had a cameo in Khan's 'Heyy Baby', called him 'obnoxious and ridiculous' among other things, Bipasha Basu says that she was disturbed by his behaviour on the set of his 2014 film 'Humshakals'.

Talking about the allegations against the film-maker, Mirza said in an interview to 'India Today', "I was deeply disturbed. I agree that Sajid was obnoxious, extremely sexist and ridiculous. Even for me, the details of these accounts are beyond shocking. I have personally always have had a radar for such people. I have never invested in a relationship with such people even in the workplace."

Bipasha, on the other hand, recalled that while she did not face any harassment, she used to be disturbed by Khan's sexist behaviour on sets.

"I am glad that women are speaking up about the atrocities of these men with power and clout... But nothing of that sort happened with me... It was just his general attitude towards women that would disturb me on set- he cracked lewd jokes openly and was pretty rude to all girls.

"I was told by all not to say anything to him and stoop to his level- so I quietly finished my work as a professional and explained my stance to the producers, that I couldn't associate myself with this film anymore as I could lose my temper any moment."

Replying to a fan on Twitter, the actress said, "He never tried anything with me... otherwise I would have spoken in 2014 only. I have a very strong voice. Will never tolerate disrespect."


Basu and Khan had a fallout during the making of the film and the actress had decided not to promote the film that also featured Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor, Esha Gupta and Tamannaah Bhatia.

Basu also took to Twitter to thank actress Tanushree Dutta, who has accused Nana Patekar of sexual assault, for speaking out and starting the movement in India, "Kudos to #tanushreedutta ��...because of her so many women have the courage to speak out against these men who take advantage of women ...owing to their fame, power and clout."


Following the allegations, Khan stepped down as the director of 'Housefull 4', and has been replaced by Farhad Samji.


Khan is among the many Bollywood stars including Nana Patekar, Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl who have been accused of sexual harassment.
