Dhurandhar has a surprising connection with a famous video game from 11 years ago and it's very unexpected

Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar is creating waves not just for its thrilling narrative but also for an unusual connection that fans might never have anticipated. The film, directed and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, premiered on December 5 and has already completed its first week with impressive box office numbers. While the movie has been widely discussed for its performances and high-octane sequences, some fans have noticed an intriguing tie to a famous video game from 2014—Far Cry 4.

The Surprising Connection

The connection revolves entirely around music. In the film, a background track features a Punjabi folk song called Jogi, which was originally recorded in 1995 by legends Mohammed Sadiq and Ranjit Kaur and later remixed by Punjabi MC into a popular 2003 club version.

The same remix was used in Far Cry 4, appearing in one of the game’s missions as part of its ambient soundtrack. The track, which has achieved cult status over the years, provides a rhythmic backdrop that bridges the worlds of Punjabi folk music and modern entertainment. Fans of both the game and the film have noted this unexpected link on social media, highlighting how the song continues to resonate across mediums over two decades after its original release.


Jogi gained recognition first as a Punjabi folk classic, later evolving into a global anthem after remix versions brought it to international audiences.
