Even as Dhurandhar rose to dominate the Hindi film industry in 2025, its leading performer Sara Arjun earned widespread admiration for embodying Yalina Jamali, a fiercely independent young woman from Pakistan. Among those most moved by her achievement was her father, actor Raj Arjun, who offered a deeply heartfelt tribute during his appearance at Spoken Fest in Mumbai. Overflowing with pride, he described his daughter not only as a gifted performer but also as a source of immense fortune in his life, emphasizing how she had stood as a pillar of strength for their family through the years.

Reflecting on his early days, Raj spoke about arriving in Mumbai filled with aspirations of becoming an actor, only to be repeatedly turned away by the industry. Those constant setbacks began to erode his confidence and sense of direction. However, everything shifted in 2005 with the birth of his daughter, Sara Arjun. He expressed that while he had often heard people say that daughters bring blessings, it was only after her arrival that he truly understood the depth of that sentiment. Soon after she was born, he secured his first leading role. Although the project never saw completion, it marked a turning point in his journey, reinforcing his determination to persevere. He admitted that without her presence in his life, he would not have evolved into the person or the artist he is today.

Despite that moment of hope, the years that followed were far from easy. Raj revealed that many of his films failed to progress, leaving him in a state of uncertainty as his daughter grew up. He explained that giving up was never an option, nor could he bring himself to walk away. Instead, he chose to endure, even though that period of stillness was filled with anxiety. Financial struggles weighed heavily on him, and even his own reflection seemed to stop questioning his circumstances, as though there were no answers left to seek. Yet, in the midst of that darkness, it was his daughter’s bright, reassuring presence that kept him grounded. Her silent encouragement and unwavering faith gave him the strength to continue standing firm, even when everything else seemed fragile.

He described her as the guiding light that illuminated his darkest phases. At times she offered wisdom beyond her years; at others, she simply provided emotional support, helping him hold himself together. In his words, she painted rays of hope across the bleak walls of his struggles. Today, as she shines brightly on a global stage, he sees her as a force of strength in her own right, someone who continues to share a part of her light with him.

Sara’s journey in cinema began remarkably early, as she stepped into acting before turning six. She first gained recognition with her role in Deiva Thirumagal and went on to appear in several films such as Saivam, Ek Thi Daayan, Jai Ho, and Jazbaa during her childhood. Recently, she transitioned into a leading role with Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, winning audiences over with her performance. The film achieved massive commercial success, earning approximately ₹1,300 crore worldwide and cementing her place as one of the most promising talents of her generation.
