Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar
Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has emerged as an unstoppable force at the ticket counters, maintaining a firm grip on box-office charts since the day it arrived in cinemas. The film began its theatrical journey with an impressive domestic opening of nearly Rs 28 crore, setting the tone for a sustained and powerful run. Over the following three weeks, its earnings have continued to rise at a steady pace, defying the usual post-release slowdown seen with most big-budget films.

Trade figures shared by industry tracker Sacnilk indicate that on its 22nd day in theatres, the Aditya Dhar-directed espionage drama added another Rs 15 crore to its domestic total. This pushed the film’s India net collection to approximately Rs 648.5 crore. On the global front, Dhurandhar has already achieved a remarkable milestone, comfortably crossing the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide and reinforcing its status as a blockbuster on an international scale.

Audience turnout has remained consistent even in its third week. On the third Friday after release, the film registered an overall theatre occupancy of around 28 percent. Morning screenings saw attendance at about 15 percent, which increased significantly during the afternoon shows at 32 percent. Evening performances drew nearly 35 percent occupancy, while night shows maintained a strong 31 percent presence, reflecting sustained audience interest throughout the day.

Having already surpassed the lifetime box-office totals of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and the Rajkummar Rao–Shraddha Kapoor-led Stree 2, Dhurandhar is now steadily advancing toward another major benchmark. The film has set its sights on Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which amassed roughly Rs 1055 crore globally during its theatrical run.

The release of Tu Mera Main Teri Main Tera Tu Meri on December 25, featuring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, failed to significantly impact Dhurandhar’s dominance. While Ranveer Singh’s film collected a robust Rs 26 crore around the holiday period and followed it up with close to Rs 15 crore on Friday, the new romantic release opened with Rs 7.75 crore and reportedly earned only about Rs 5 crore the following day.

Dhurandhar boasts an ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. Backed by Jio Studios in collaboration with Aditya Dhar’s B62 Studios, the film released on December 5. Riding high on its success, the makers have already confirmed a sequel, Dhurandhar 2, scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
