The makers of 2025’s biggest blockbuster Dhurandhar have officially unveiled the first poster of its much-anticipated sequel, featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the first film stormed the box office and quickly became a talking point. The sequel, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is now ready to take the spotlight, with its teaser scheduled to drop today at 12:12 pm on YouTube. Ahead of the teaser release, here’s a closer look at what fans can expect from Part 2, and a quick refresher on where to catch the first film.

What to expect in Dhurandhar: The Revenge?

With the poster announcement, director Aditya Dhar set the tone for what lies ahead. Sharing the first look, he hinted that the sequel would push the chaos and intensity further, suggesting a darker and more aggressive chapter in the story.

He wrote, "Ab Bigadne Ka Waqt Aa Gaya Hai. Dhurandhar: The Revenge"

Actors associated with the film have also teased a major scale-up. Sara Arjun, who played Yalina in the first part, recently told NDTV that audiences should brace themselves for “much more” of everything they enjoyed earlier. According to her, the sequel expands on action, emotion, and storytelling, raising the stakes across the board. She hinted that the narrative becomes more layered, while retaining the adrenaline-heavy moments that made the original a hit.

One of the biggest narrative shifts in Dhurandhar 2 is expected to be the deeper exploration of Ranveer Singh’s character. While the first part largely focused on Hamza’s covert mission in Pakistan, the sequel will reportedly dive into his real identity, Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The closing moments of Dhurandhar teased this reveal, and Part 2 is expected to flesh out his past, motivations, and personal cost of living a double life.

R. Madhavan, whose screen time was limited in the first film, has confirmed that his role will be much more prominent this time. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama earlier, the actor shared that the sequel will show his character training Ranveer Singh’s agent in advanced espionage and warfare techniques. This mentor-student dynamic is likely to play a key role in shaping Hamza’s next mission.

The sequel is also set to address several unanswered questions left hanging at the end of Part 1. Will Hamza be able to take control of Lyari without exposing himself? And will those around Hamza, including his wife Alina, discover who he really is? Adding to the intrigue, reports suggest that Arjun Rampal’s Major Iqbal will get more depth, with the film exploring his personal life and the motivations behind his ruthless decisions. Also, fans are curious to know who is Shivani, who called Hamza in first part.

Where to watch Dhurandhar Part 1 and a quick recap

For viewers looking to revisit the story before the teaser drops, Dhurandhar (2025) is currently streaming on Netflix. The film is available in multiple language versions, making it accessible to a wider audience across regions.

Under the guidance of IB director Ajay Sanyal, portrayed by R. Madhavan, Hamza infiltrates a dangerous terror network led by Rehman Dakait. The chapter-based action thriller explores themes of revenge, political intrigue, and the nexus between the underworld and intelligence agencies.

The film’s 212-minute runtime ends with Hamza completing his mission but setting his sights on a new target, clearly paving the way for the sequel. With the teaser of Dhurandhar: The Revenge dropping today, fans won’t have to wait much longer to see how that promise unfolds.
