‘Dhurandhar 2’ OTT partner revealed before release
With its release just days away, the buzz around Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to grow. The spy thriller, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, has already made headlines for strong advance bookings. Now, another update has caught the attention of fans — the film’s OTT streaming platform has been confirmed, even though its theatrical run is yet to begin.

The sequel to the 2025 action film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on March 19, and early ticket sales suggest the film could open big at the box office.

Dhurandhar 2 OTT platform confirmed

The trailer of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, released on March 7, did more than just showcase the film’s action-packed storyline. Towards the end of the trailer, viewers also noticed the reveal of its streaming partner. After its theatrical run, the spy thriller will stream on JioHotstar. However, the makers have not yet announced the exact digital release date.

In most cases, Bollywood films arrive on OTT platforms around 45 to 60 days after their theatrical debut, so the streaming timeline for the film will likely follow a similar pattern.

Interestingly, the first part of the franchise had a different digital home. The original Dhurandhar, which was released in December 2025, later premiered on Netflix after completing its theatre run.

Advance booking crosses Rs 18 crore

Even before its release, the film has been showing strong momentum in ticket sales. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has already sold more than two lakh tickets across languages. Early estimates suggest the advance booking collection stands at around Rs 12.28 crore without block seats. When block bookings are included, the number goes up to roughly Rs 18.1 crore for the opening day in India.

Reports also indicate strong activity on BookMyShow, where the film sold over 87,000 tickets within the first 24 hours of bookings. International markets have also shown interest, with the film selling thousands of premiere tickets in North America.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had earlier commented on the response to paid previews. He wrote on X, “ACHCHE DIN ARE BACK – 'DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE' SET TO CREATE HISTORY – RECORDS IN DANGER FROM PAID PREVIEWS ITSELF... The unprecedented craze for #DhurandharTheRevenge is there for everyone to see. What's truly remarkable is the response to the paid previews on [Wednesday] 18 March 2026 itself... The film has already started setting the tone with exceptional ticket sales, indicating that the paid preview numbers will be historic.”

The film’s release window has also benefited from a last-minute change in the schedule of another major project. The gangster drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, was originally expected to release around the same time.

However, the makers postponed the film to June 4 following rising tensions in the Middle East. This decision has effectively avoided a direct clash between two big releases.

Dhurandhar 2 story and theatrical release details

The upcoming film continues the story of undercover RAW agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi. In the sequel, the character enters the Karachi underworld while trying to dismantle a terror network after the death of Rahman Dakait. The narrative also brings him face to face with the main antagonist, ISI agent Major Iqbal.

The film will release in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. It is also arriving during the festive period of Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi, which could further help its theatrical performance.
