With just a few hours left for the release of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, excitement among fans has reached a peak. Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the spy thriller will begin its special paid previews from today evening (March 18), a day ahead of its theatrical release. Ever since advance bookings opened, the film has been smashing records, including surpassing They Call Him OG starring Pawan Kalyan.

Dhurandhar 2 advance booking report

According to a report by Sacnilk, director Aditya Dhar’s film has set a new benchmark by recording the biggest paid premiere day in Indian box office history. The report highlighted that OG, which released in September last year, had earned over Rs 25 crore during its domestic premiere. However, Dhurandhar 2 has now surpassed that figure even before its preview shows began, collecting over Rs 25 crore in advance sales and around Rs 29 crore including block seats in five days.

The strong momentum is also shown in the film’s overall advance booking numbers. Reports suggest that the combined ticket sales for paid previews and opening day have crossed an impressive 17 lakh tickets, generating around Rs 86.80 crore.

Breaking it down further, Dhurandhar 2 has reportedly sold over 7 lakh tickets for its paid previews alone in India. Additionally, the opening day advance bookings have also crossed the 7 lakh mark, setting a new record for a Hindi film. In doing so, it has surpassed the previous benchmark set by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi version), which had sold approximately 6.5 lakh tickets in advance.
