Dhawal Kulkarni to tie the knot with Shradha Kharpude today

After bowling incisively for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy final against Saurashtra, pace bowler Dhawal Kulkarni begins the most important spell of his personal life today. Kulkarni will marry his beau of four years, Shradha Kharpude, fashion co-ordinator, Femina magazine, at the St Regis hotel in South Mumbai.

"It is going to be a typical Maharashtrian day-time wedding," Kharpude said. "All family members and friends are going to be dressed in traditional attire. We are using genda flowers and banana leaves for the wedding decoration."

But the couple is not taking chances with the food menu. "We'll have other cuisines too. We are not sure if everyone will enjoy Maharashtrian food," she says.

The couple met about four years ago, when they were introduced by a mutual friend. After exchanging their BB pins with each other, they fell in love over the next few days.

The wedding will be followed by a reception in the evening. The theme is spring. Kharpude says, "I am wearing a Shyamal and Bhumika lehenga and Dhawal will be in a three--piece suit by Zegna."

Among others, the entire Mumbai Ranji team will attend the celebrations.
