Dharmendra's last film Ikkis will hit theatres on Jan1
Veteran Hindi cinema icon Dharmendra passed away on November 24, bringing the curtain down on a remarkable chapter in Indian film history. Even in the twilight of his life, the legendary performer remained devoted to his craft, appearing in contemporary films such as Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Tere Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, proving that his passion for cinema never dimmed.

Offering audiences an intimate look into those final working moments, Dharmendra’s son Sunny Deol recently unveiled a deeply emotional behind-the-scenes video from the sets of the war drama Ikkis. The footage stands as a quiet tribute, capturing the warmth, dignity, and humility that defined the actor both on and off screen.

In one moving segment of the video, Dharmendra is seen acknowledging the film’s makers with heartfelt appreciation. He says, “I am extremely happy to be with Maddock Films. The team, the captain Sriram ji… the film is done in a very nice way. I think people in both India and Pakistan should watch it.” His words reflect not only gratitude but also his enduring belief in cinema as a bridge between cultures.

The video also documents a poignant farewell on the final day of shooting. Marking the moment with a small celebration, Dharmendra cuts a cake on set, flanked by co-actor Jaideep Ahlawat and director Sriram Raghavan. The weight of the occasion is evident as he admits, “I am a bit sad today for the last day of shooting.”

Ending the clip on a note of quiet humility, the actor addresses everyone present with folded emotions, saying, “I love you all. Kuch kahi koi galti ho gayi ho toh uske liye kshama karna.” The simplicity of the message mirrors the grace with which he lived his life.

Sharing the video online, Sunny Deol accompanied it with a heartfelt note describing his father’s boundless kindness and luminous smile. He urged fans to honour Dharmendra by watching his final offering on the big screen.
