Things have changed since he started out, but Rahul Mishra still knows the importance of mentoring. Which is why the designer signed up, along with other well-known designers, for The Myntra Fashion Incubator (MFI). It's a program where they mentor aspiring designers. Mishra has two protégés — Harleen, whose upcoming brand is called Pluie, and Anwar, whose brand is called Suo.

"When I started, I lacked some of the skills which are taught here," says Mishra, "These guys are learning a lot — from how business functions to how production is done. I like the energy and integrity that Myntra has put forward." The designer adds that mentoring is a natural fit for him. "It's refreshing to speak to young minds." The challenging bit? Mishra doesn't hesitate a second before confessing, "Tech is constantly changing, so I have to keep updating my know-how".
