'Derry Girls' season 3 to start filming this year; Nicola Coughlan calls it the best in the series
The new season will go on floors this year after being delayed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Created and written by Lisa McGee, the Channel 4 series follows a group of teenagers living in Derry, Northern Ireland, amid the Troubles, an ethno-nationalist period of conflict in Northern Ireland, in the 1990s.
Coughlan, who plays Claire on the show, said the new chapter will go on floors this year after being delayed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"Can confirm Series 3 of 'Derry Girls' is filming this year and I cannae bloody wait (sic)," the 34-year-old actor tweeted.

The first season of the show aired early in 2018, with season two following the year after.
