The government’s demonetisation drive has created never-ending queues outside ATMs and banks. However, it did give ideas to Satjeet Singh Bedi, founder and CEO of an on-demand services start up. It provides paid, temporary helpers to stand in the queues for Rs 90 per hour, via online booking.

“I got the idea when my mother was ill recently and I needed cash. I requested my teammates to stand in the queue in my place, as I needed to be with her. When my turn came in the line, they gave me a call and I rushed there to take my place,” said Bedi. Since launching the ATM or bank line service, Bedi says several requests have been pouring in, especially from the metros. Talk about cashing in on the cash crunch..
