For the last week, satellite images of India must have appeared like one unrelenting serpentine queue.

People all over the country have been queuing up to withdraw and deposit money as the Government has announced the demonetisation of Rs 500 & Rs 1000 notes.

Now to make matters more dramatic, a song on the currency ban has been introduced and it manages to make your blood boil, for certain, whether in a good or a bad way is completely dependent on who is listening to it.

Remember, ‘Azeem o shaan shahenshah’ from ‘Jodha Akbar’? The currency ban anthem is a little too inspired by that, the only difference being the unnecessary patriotism, over the usage of 'Acche Din Aane Wale Hai' and needless theatrics.

Here’s hoping that it manages to have a significantly greater impact than the movie ever did.
