Earlier, during the February 12 proceedings, the court had directed the complainant to file a reply to Yadav’s interim bail application and adjourned the matter to February 16. The actor had approached the court seeking temporary release to attend a family wedding. However, the court made it clear that any relief would be subject to compliance with strict payment conditions.
Court directs Rs1.5 crore payment by 3 PM
According to a report by TOI, during the latest hearing, Yadav’s counsel informed the court that the actor was prepared to deposit Rs 1.5 crore without any conditions through a Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR). Justice Sharma, however, clarified that the payment must be made via a Demand Draft (DD) instead of an FDR.The court also recorded that Rs 25 lakh had already been submitted through a DD in the name of the respondents. Additionally, another Rs 75 lakh had previously been deposited by the actor. With those amounts accounted for, the remaining Rs 1.5 crore now needs to be paid to meet the interim bail requirement.
Justice Sharma granted time until 3 PM the same day for Yadav’s legal team to submit the Rs 1.5 crore Demand Draft. The court stated that if the amount is deposited within the stipulated time, the actor will be granted interim bail. Failing this, the matter will be taken up again the following morning. The hearing was accordingly adjourned until 3 PM.
