Delhi cardiologist shares how his friend reversed his diabetes naturally. And it is not just with karela juice
Dr. Shailesh Singh debunks health myths. He highlights that reversing diabetes naturally involves weight loss, daily walks, adequate sleep, exercise, and quitting alcohol. He urges people to embrace 'movement' over 'exercise' for a healthier life...

Taking to X, Dr Singh wrote about this so-called “friend” who conveniently forgets to mention the boring details behind his success story. Turns out, the magic formula wasn’t hidden just in a glass of green juice. His friend had lost 20 kilos, walked 10 kilometres every day, slept eight hours a night, exercised for an hour, and quit alcohol completely. “But sure, it was the karela juice that did it,” Dr Singh quipped, adding that people often prefer “magic cures more than mathematical ones.”
Cardiologist about exercise
In another post, the cardiologist went a step further — reframing how people think about fitness. “Stop calling it exercise,” he urged. “Call it movement.” Because for most, the word exercise feels like punishment, while movement feels like living. He encouraged people to dance (badly, if needed), garden, play with kids, carry groceries, and even clean vigorously — reminding everyone that it all counts toward health.Dr Singh didn’t stop there. In a follow-up post, he tackled another myth — that strength training is only for the young. “You’re not too old to start strength training,” he wrote. “You’re too old not to.” After the age of 35, he explained, the body naturally starts losing muscle mass every year. But just two 15-minute sessions a week — even with bodyweight alone — can stop that decline in its tracks.
Dr Singh delivers a blunt truth: real health isn’t built on miracle fixes or Instagram fads. It’s built on consistent, boring, everyday choices — the ones that never trend, but transform.
