Deepika's throwback post wins hearts of 'YJHD' fans, actress shares pics from look-test with Ranbir

In the last two decades, Bollywood has seen several romantic-comedies but only a few of them have managed to leave a mark quite like Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ did. Released in 2013, ‘YJHD’, as the film is fondly called, has reached cult status.

To commemorate 7 years of the release of the classic, actress Deepika Padukone, who played the role of Naina in the 2013 blockbuster, shared never-before-seen photographs from the first look-test of the film.

The pictures show Ranbir and Deepika posing together as Naina and Bunny, the titular characters of the film.


Deepika also quoted a famous line from the film, ‘Yaadein mithai ke dibbe ki tarah hoti hain...Ek baar khula, toh sirf ek tukda nahi kha paoge’

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film also featured Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur. It was produced by Karan Johar.

Johar also took to Twitter and said the film remains relevant even after seven years.
