Deepika Padukone to start shooting for Vin Diesel-starrer 'XXX' sequel in February

LOS ANGELES: Actress Deepika Padukone will start shooting for her debut Hollywood project, Vin Diesel-starrer " Xander Cage Returns", next month, reveals director DJ Caruso.

The third instalment of the popular " XXX" franchise will begin filming on Jan 13 in Dominican Republic, while the Indian actress will join the team in February.

Caruso replied to a fan's query on Twitter and said:

The film also stars Jet Li and Tony Jaa. The director said the makers are looking for a spring wrap.

"XXX", a 2002 American action film directed by Rob Cohen, starred Diesel as Xander Cage, a thrill seeking extreme sports enthusiast, stuntman and rebellious athlete-turned- reluctant spy for the national security agency.

It sequel, "XXX: State of the Union", released in 2005.
