Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh's baby girl name debate goes viral. Top choices here
Bollywood's beloved power couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, have become parents for the first time. The couple welcomed their baby on Sunday, but they have not yet revealed the child's name. In the meantime, fans have stepped in to offer...

One popular suggestion for the baby’s name, following the trend of blending celebrity parents' names (like Virushka or Misha), was "Ravika." A fan on X shared, “I hope they name her 'Ridhee'. It incorporates 'दी' from Deepika, 'र' from Ranveer, and also connects to Siddhi Vinayak Ganpati since she was born during Ganesh Chaturthi.”
A Deepika fan page posted a scene from ‘Bajirao Mastani’ where Deepika's character gives birth, asking, “Should the baby girl be named Ravika after DeepVeer’s daughter?” In the comments, one fan pointed out, “Ravika means sunrays!” while others filled the post with heart emojis. Another fan suggested, “Ranveer and Deepika should consider naming their daughter Padmavati or Rama, inspired by the Kalki Purana, where Lord Kali is prophesied to marry these two princesses. Plus, Deepika was outstanding in Kalki AD 2898.”
When Ranveer Talked About Baby Names
Ranveer once shared that he has been compiling a list of potential names for his future child. During an episode of his show, The Big Picture, Ranveer mentioned one of the names on that list. While talking to a contestant named Shauryaveer, he jokingly asked if he could use their name for his future baby. “Main shortlist bana raha hoon names ke. Aap mind nahi karenge to mai le lu aapse, Shauryaveer Singh? (I am shortlisting names. Would you mind if I take ‘Shauryaveer Singh’ from you?” he told the contestant. During the promotion of his 2022 film 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar', Ranveer was asked whether he preferred a baby boy or girl. He admitted that he has no preference and is unconcerned about the gender of the baby. “When you go to the temple, they don’t ask you na if you want laadu or sheera. Whatever you get, you have it with whole reverence since it is prasad. So the same logic applies here,” he said.
