Deepa Malik pinning her hopes on namesakes Dipa Karmakar, Sakshi Malik at Asian Games
Paralympic medalist Deepa Malik said her name seems to be lucky.

As the Indian contingent prepares to mint medals at the Asian Games in Jakarta this week, obviously the laurels of the Rio Olympics are remembered and recalled. Paralympic medalist Deepa Malik, in particular, said how the Rio Games were special for her, and her namesake, Dipa Karmakar.
“We both ended up making India proud,” Malik said, who won a silver medal in the Paralympic Games at Rio in 2016. While Karmakar didn’t win a medal, her Produnova was the talk of the Games.
Diego Maradona admitted his cocaine addiction when he arrived at Barcelona in the early 1980s and would later evade getting caught while he played at Napoli.
However, the Argentine legend eventually did fail a test in 1991 and was banned for 15 months as a result of his addiction. He returned to the game after serving the suspension but was later expelled from the 1994 World Cup after failing a doping test.
The shot putter said her name seems be lucky as Sakshi Malik, who shares her surname with her, also won a bronze medal at the Games. “I am hoping the same happens in Jakarta.
