‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ OTT release: When you can watch the superhero extravaganza

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is currently setting the box-office on fire. Fans of both superheroes are eagerly waiting for both the superheroes to arrive on OTT. Currently, the only way to watch 'Deadpool & Wolverine' is in theaters. Once it becomes available for home viewing, it will initially be released on digital streaming platforms through premium video on demand (PVOD). This means you will be able to purchase or rent it on services like Prime Video, Apple TV, Vudu, and Google Play.

PVOD releases typically cost $24.99 to buy and $19.99 to rent for 48 hours. The timing of the PVOD release depends on the movie's theatrical performance, but it generally becomes available about 60 days after its theater debut. If 'Deadpool & Wolverine' follows this pattern, it should be available for digital streaming around September 17 or September 20.

Unlike most Disney superhero films, which are rated PG-13, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' has an R rating. Despite its mature rating, it will be available for streaming on Disney+ instead of Hulu, where Disney typically places its more adult-oriented content. This move aligns with Disney’s strategy to feature all Marvel movies on Disney+.


‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ arrived in theatres on July 22 and has been shattering box-office records left, right, and centre. The Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds-starrer has crossed Rs 3,650 crore worldwide, within three days and has shown no signs of slowing down.
