My style: I wear mostly neutrals and a few colours that seem to always be a success. My sense of style has changed over the years — it’s less about what others think of you and more of understanding what is important, and staying true to that. As I’ve gotten older, I focus predominantly on comfort, elegance and dress as per the occasion.

Must haves: A tailor-made business suit, a tie, shoes, perfume and a watch.

Comfort first: Personally, I am never more comfortable than when wearing jeans and a T-shirt. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and camping with my wife and our two dogs.

Prized possession: An engraved compass that my wife gave me for my birthday, while we were still dating. It is practical, given the amount of time I spend outdoors. It also reminds me of our shared path in life.

Brand speak: I am extremely fond of heritage brands, individual makers that focus on cut, quality of material, and timelessness. For my first branded item, I am a child of the ’90s and so I never felt cooler than when I saved up for a pair of Doc Martens.

Trend talk: I love being a minimalist, dressed as per the occasion. Over the top, kitschy dressing is something I don’t engage in. I like subtle yet effective dressing.
