Dad finds a 'suitable boy' on matrimonial site, daughter offers him a job instead. Twitter calls it 'boss move'

It's not uncommon in India for parents to look for potential partner for their kids on matrimonial sites since most desi marriages are arranged by families. So when a father of a woman, who is a founder of a fin-tech firm, made her profile on a matrimonial site to find a potential husband for her, it seemed just normal.

The two even matched on the site. However, what his daughter did next has amused the Internet and got everyone laughing, except her father.

The screenshot shared by Udita Pal on Twitter shows her chat with her father, who is not too pleased with Pal, but why? Well, because the boss lady apparently offered a job to the "potential candidate" whom she matched on the matrimonial site.


Talk about proper business mindset! Here's how the conversation between the father and daughter went when the former found out about the job offer.

Pal's father texted her asking "Can we talk? Urgent", before telling her that he is aware of what she has done.

"You know what you did. You cannot hire people from matrimonial sites," her dad told her while expressing his confusion over what to tell the candidate's father.

"I saw your message, you gave him interview link and asked for resume," he further added, asking his "crazy girl" to reply.

In her defense, Pal, giggling, wrote back that the man has seven years of fin-tech experience, which she called "great" and said that her company, 'Salt', is hiring, so why not talk shop?

Pal then took to Twitter to share the amusing chat with her father which so far as over 12K likes.

"What getting disowned from father looks like," she captioned the image.

In her following tweet, Pal updated netizens that the job deal was not finalised as the person is "looking for 62 LPA + ESOPs" which is out of budget for her company. She also mentioned that her father has now deleted her matrimonial profile.


Even if the marriage or job-hiring deal failed to go through, the sweet story surely succeeded in making the Internet laugh and also helped many others to share their hilarious interaction over marriage with parents.
