Poes Garden, which is one of the tony addresses of the capital and home to many celebrities, was also not immune to the aftereffects of Michaung.
Journalist Abdul Muthaleef uploaded a video of the scenario outside actor Rajinikanth's Poes Garden residence. Muthaleef, whose social media bio describes him as "Editor in Chief, @Savukkumedia and @splextamil", took to X (formerly Twitter) to post an update from outside the actor's home while riding a scooter. The footage showed that while the 'Jailer' star' house was surrounded by water, the level was relatively low. The clip shows that the lanes are flooded. The guard’s station at the gate is also filled with water.
The actor himself is away shooting for his upcoming film, 'Thalaivar 170', in Tirunelveli. Local Chennai media reported that other members of the family had relocated to another residence in Chennai which was less affected by the cyclone.
Earlier on Tuesday, actor Aamir Khan, Jwala Gutta and her actor husband Vishnu Vishal made headlines after they were dramatically rescued on a boat. Actor Ajith later helped in their relocation.
