“After opening 80 fitness centers in four cities and over 10 kitchens to roll out our subscription food vertical, we had many customers asking for healthy food to eat on-the-go. This triggered the idea to open health food kiosks and cafes at our gyms and offices. Now, we will open health food joints on high streets, airports and malls,” said cofounder Nagori.
After Church Street, Eat.fit will open doors in Indiranagar and HSR Layout. “We will open five centers in Bengaluru by the end of 2018. Next year, we will open chapters in NCR, Hyderabad and Mumbai,” said Nagori.
The former Flipkart executive added that their concept cafe is modeled on the lines of popular UK-based sandwich shop Pret A Manger which emphasises the use of natural ingredients and all things handmade.

“Pret is an omnipresent health food joint. I noticed that this format gives them high traction. The need for eating out today is good health, and not just entertainment,” said Nagori, adding, “Except QSR chain Subway which gives a customer to create his own healthy sandwich, there is no large scale wellness cafe in India. Eat.fit can be scaled up. It is a 500-outlet opportunity.”
