Cristiano Ronaldo's newborn dies, footballer says it's the greatest pain that any parent can feel
The Man Utd star and his partner took to social media to express their grief.

The world-renowned footballer had revealed on his social media in October 2021 that he and Georgina were expecting twins. In his latest post, the Manchester United star confirmed the birth of a baby girl.
"It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness," Ronaldo and Rodriguez said in a jointly-signed statement shared on Instagram.
The 37-year-old icon went on to thank the doctors and nurses for their care and support. “We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support,” read the long post.
The couple stated that they are devastated and requested fans to help them maintain their privacy through the difficult time. Ronaldo and Georgina have a four-year-old daughter, while the footballer has three other children.
Manchester United expressed their support for him in a tweet. “Your pain is our pain. Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time,” tweeted the football club.
