Crackdown 3 is one of the most anticipated games on the PC and Xbox. It comes almost 9 years after the release of the previous title (Crackdown 2) in the series. The good thing is that Crackdown 3 has the same type of gameplay that gamers loved on the previous two iterations. It’s a simple formula: move through the city, kill enemies, level up and take down bosses.

The storyline is like a sci-fi movie from the 2000s. You’re a super-cop brought back to life by a scientist to take on an evil mega-corporation called Terra Nova. Terra Nova runs an island city called New Providence and is responsible for shutting down the world’s electricity grid.

You start the game with basic abilities and level up by collecting agility orbs throughout the city. You also get orbs by killing enemies and blowing things up so its fairly easy to reach a level where you can deal out a lot of damage quickly. The only thing is that the city map is fairly tiny – you will end up moving through the same districts multiple times on your missions.

The catch is, you can only carry three guns at a time so you have to choose wisely. You can always punch enemies, throw objects at them or run them over with a car if you don’t feel like using a gun. There are no fancy puzzles or complicated backstories like current games – the only challenge is figuring out how best to climb a tower using pipes, ledges and platforms. If you like the big open worlds in modern games, this game is not for you.

Graphics are not a forte mostly because of the whole neon lighting setup. Thankfully the physics are well done are so are the sound effects. The best way to enjoy the game is by choosing to play as Commander Jaxon, voiced by ex NFL player and actor Terry Crews (Expendables, Brooklyn Nine-Nine).

Ultimately Crackdown 3 does not really live up to the hype it generated but seen as a standalone game, it is fun to play, especially if you’re a fan of the genre.

It’s usually the rider who defines a bike. But these superbikes from movies stretch our imagination from being conventional to unreal and beyond.

This monstrous two-wheeler stands out with its unconventional architecture. It requires it to be piloted partly in a ‘Superman position’ and steered by the shoulders instead of hands. Actually driven in the movie The Dark Knight (2008), it was conceptualised by Nathan Crowley, who also created the Batmobile. The bike has 20-inch front and rear tyres, and the engines are in the hubs of the wheels. Crowley never revealed the power of its engine.
