'Inspiration' or 'plagiarism'? Why is Katrina's advertisement art similar to that of Kim Kardashian?
NEW DELHI: Hours within the launch of her new make-up line, ‘Kay’, actress Katrina Kaif got into a new controversy.

Earlier this evening, an anonymous Instagram handle, Dietsabya, shared a post comparing promotional pictures of reality TV star Kim Kardashian’s make-up line - KKW X Winnie Collection - in association with Winnie Harlow, and Kaif’s ‘Kay’ side-by-side.

The picture was captioned: “Gandi art direction or coincidence? Choose one #dietsabya #beauty #dietbeauty #tooclosetohome”. The Instagram post has already garnered over 4,500 likes.

From the picture, it seems that the concept used for the advertisement of Katrina’s make-up line bears an uncanny resemblance to that of Kardashian’s.

For the uninitiated, ‘KKW Beauty’, launched in 2017, is one of Kardashian’s most successful ventures. She also has other businesses such as KKW Fragrance, SKIMS, among others.

After the launch of her make-up line, earlier this morning, Kaif said that make-up has been an innate part of her life and she has always dreamt of creating a beauty line.

Meghan Markle has reportedly been given strict guidelines for which jewellery pieces she can borrow from the Queen’s collection. At the root of this tension, according to media reports, is the Duchess of Sussex’s insistence on borrowing a different tiara for her wedding to Prince Harry last year. In the end, she wore the Diamond Bandeau from the Queen’s private jewellery collection.
