Computex 2017: Asus launches Zenbook Flip S, world's thinnest convertible laptop
The tech giant launched five laptops, one monitor and two all-in-one PCs at the conference.

Having 10.9mm of thickness, Asus Zenbook Flip S (UX370) is being touted as the company's slimmest convertible laptop. Weighing 1.1kg, it runs Windows 10 OS and is powered by a seventh-gen Intel Core i7-7500U CPU. There's also 1TB of PCIe SSD storage, along with a new cooling system that comes with a liquid-crystal-polymer fan. The laptop has up to 4K multi-touch NanoEdge display with the stylus support. It's also compatible with Windows Hello security feature. The base model starts at $1099 and will be available this summer.
According to Asus, the Zenbook Pro (UX550) is its 'thinnest, lightest and most powerful ZenBook Pro ever'. The metal-clad laptop is 18.9mm thick and weighs 1.8kg. Sporting a 15.6-inch 4K UHD NanoEdge display, the Windows 10-powered laptop is powered by a seventh-generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ quad-core CPU, along with an Nvidia GeForce GTX1050 Ti GPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM and 1TB PCIe x4 SSD storage. Battery life is claimed to be up to 14 hours and the device comes with quad-speaker surround-sound audio powered by Harman Kardon. The laptop's price starts at $1299 and it will be arriving later this year.
Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe (UX490) features a 12.9mm thick design and weighs 1.1kg. It has a 14-inch NanoEdge ultra-narrow-bezel display and is powered by an Intel seventh-generation Core i7-7500U CPU, paired with 16GB RAM. There's 1TB of PCI Express (PCIe) SSD storage, two USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 3) and Windows 10 Hello security built-in. The base model starts at $1199 and will be hitting the shelves later this year.

Lastly, the VivoBook S15 (S510) is a 17.9mm thin laptop with 1.5kg weight. It sports a 15.6-inch screen and is the company's cheapest laptop out of the five. Priced at $499, the device sports the same NanoEdge display as the aforementioned laptops, along with a 7.8mm bezel. It's powered by a seventh-generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor and supports up to 16GB DDR4 RAM, along with an NVIDIA GeForce 940MX GPU. The VivoBook S15 (S510) will also arrive later this year.
Apart from the laptops, Asus also launched the Designo MZ27AQ monitor. The 27-inch monitor has a WQHD resolution of 2560x1440 pixels.. It measures 7mm at its thinnest point and is integrated with ASUS' SonicMaster technology. Furthermore, it has 12W stereo speakers and an external 5W subwoofer co-developed with Harman-Kardon for 2.1-channel audio. Connectivity options include DisplayPort and two HDMI ports.
Coming to All-in-One PCs, the Vivo V241 has a 23.8-inch Full HD NanoEdge multi touch display with wide-view technology and 88% screen-to-body ratio. It also comes with Asus' SonicMaster stereo audio system and is powered by Windows 10. Other specifications include a seventh-gen Intel Core i5 CPU and NVIDIA GeForce 930MX GPU.
