Composing songs is a form of meditation for Vossle co-founder

The concentration required for composing songs disengages Prafulla Mathur from the world.

Prafulla Mathur, Co-founder, Vossle, likes deconstructing song structures and learning guitar parts from bands like Led Zeppelin, The Doors, and Pink Floyd.

"I also compose songs. It is a form of meditation. The concentration that it requires makes me focus only on the music and disengage from the world around me. I always have my music pad handy. So, I can plug in whenever anPrafulla Mathur shares his love for music and how his hobby has grown over the years teaching him lessons .opportunity arises. Working from home over the last year has also allowed me to spend more time on my hobbies," he says.

When Mathur picked up a guitar for the first time, it called to him. It was easy to get excited over the fast guitar leads of my favorite bands, but focusing on speed made it difficult to play them.

"As I improved, it dawned on me that it was more important to play steady and smooth at first. Playing it right and enjoying the process eventually increases speed as well. We apply this at Vossle as well and are focused on providing a great product to our users. Doing it right will automatically increase growth," he shares.

Mathur's favourite songs keep changing. "However, some constant favorites are The Lemon Song, Dazed & Confused by Led Zeppelin, and the Roadhouse Blues by The Doors. My prized possession out of all my guitars is a cheap Gibson Les Paul imitation that I bought during my college days. It has stayed with me for more than 15 years now. Even though I don't play it much now, we meet like old friends who've known everything about each other," he ends.

We can always do group exercise classes online or even group challenges for steps with our friends. “I plan to invest in crypto and gold this year to hedge against inflation. I plan to do angel investing in startups that are solving India-specific problems. Coming to health, I’ll focus on exercising at home. I picked up meditation in 2020, and it’s helping me a lot. I’d recommend this to everyone.
