The 79th Golden Globe Awards concluded without stars walking the red carpet or even a telecast on Monday morning after the industry boycotted the troubled gala. One of Hollywood's biggest parties that drew 18 million television viewers was reduced to a live-blog.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) issued a statement after the awards function ended. Lauding the nominated performers and winners, HFPA thanked them for keeping the world entertained '365 days of the year'.






"It's been our esteemed pleasure to celebrate such incredible talent and a true honour to work with so many amazing organisations," the statement said.
