Content creator and chartered accountant Visha Khandelwal shared insights on what India does better than foreign countries. She highlighted the instant support from strangers, the communal joy of sharing meals, and the resourceful 'jugaad' approac...

In the video, Visha Khandelwal explained that having lived with foreigners for a few months during her travel sojourns, taught her some important life lessons on how Indian culture is special and different than abroad. Her post highlighted that several everyday habits which appear completely normal in India are often seen as rare or unusual in Western countries.
Instant support from strangers
Visha first spoke about the strong sense of community in India. Recalling an incident from her solo trip to Prague, she shared that when she fell ill with a fever, she casually posted about it on social media. To her surprise, an Indian follower living in Prague reached out and brought her homemade khichdi despite a busy work schedule. She noted that while people in the West often rely first on formal systems or professional help, in India, support from friends, acquaintances, or even extended networks often arrives instinctively and immediately.
Shared joy in eating out
The second point focused on food culture and dining habits. Visha highlighted how, in India, eating out is often a shared experience where people order multiple dishes, taste from each other’s plates, and split food in a relaxed, informal way. In contrast, she observed that in many European countries, dining tends to be more individualistic, with each person ordering and paying strictly for themselves. While she acknowledged the efficiency of this system, she expressed that for her, the joy of eating out lies in sharing flavours, conversations, and moments around the table.
Desi jugaad mindset
Visha Khandelwal became a chartered accountant at the age of 23 but quit her stable, well-paying job to pursue contebt creation and travel vlogging.
