Coming together for art! Artefacts from the British museum soon to be in Mumbai & Delhi
'India and the World: A History in Nine Stories' will showcase works of art from the Indian Subcontinent along with iconic pieces from the British Museum.

First conceived by Neil MacGregor, former Director of the British Museum and Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the collaboration will be co-curated by British Museum's Art historian and Curator and JD Hill, and Curator Professor Naman Ahuja.
Shown together for the first time, the objects aim to provide an opportunity for discourse and cross-cultural encounters.

To kick off this unique collaboration, the Directors of the three museums, Dr. Hartwig Fischer, British Museum, Dr. B.R. Mani, National Museum and Mr. Sabyasachi Mukherjee, CSMVS, will be in discussion at the CSMVS on the 3rd of February 2017. The talk, Sharing Collections, India and the World - A New Model, will be moderated by Dr. James Cuno, President and CEO, the J. Paul Getty Trust.
