Coldplay's secret date with Mumbai

Chris Martin and the band were spotted at Worli village, shooting a music video.

Coldplay's secret date with Mumbai
Is Chris Martin and his band Coldplay shooting a new video in India? The impenetrable security and crew milling around Mumbai's Worli village on Wednesday seemed to suggest so. Martin was spotted at the city's Four Seasons hotel earlier in the day.

It's unclear if the footage Coldplay shot was for a forthcoming album (their seventh, A Head Full Of Dreams) or for a non-musical project.

However, residents from Worli village confirmed that the crew was filming at various locations (including the Golfa Devi temple) starting from 6 am.

According to eyewitnesses, they shot sequences of kite-flying, dahi handi celebrations and festive bonhomie. ETPanache caught Martin and a gaggle of kids, in Holi colours, at a setup that included a traditional Indian village background with a drumkit, a wooden piano and a hoarding that spelt Coldplay in Marathi.

Martin last visited India in July for his involvement with The Global Poverty Project. During his stay, he regaled a pleasantly-surprised crowd at a Delhi café with an impromptu performance.
