Cocktail 2 movie update: Director teases fans with Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon's candid photos as shoot begins in Italy

The much-awaited sequel to the 2012 hit Cocktail has officially gone on floors, and the buzz is already sky-high. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, the movie became a cult favourite for its stylish take on love, heartbreak, and friendship. Now, its sequel, with a new trio- Kriti Sanon, Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna is being positioned as a fresh spin on the love triangle formula — mixing glamour, fashion, and romance into one intoxicating blend.

Director Homi Adajania dropped just enough glimpses to keep fans on their toes. From chic black outfits to sweaty gym sessions, the behind-the-scenes moments are giving audiences a taste of the glamour, drama, and chaos that Cocktail 2 promises to deliver when it hits screens in 2026. Homi Adajania has been steadily teasing fans on social media with candid shots of his leading stars, adding a dash of quirkiness from the sets.

Kriti Sanon was seen serving boss-lady vibes in a striking black ensemble, while Rashmika Mandanna was spotted mid-gym grind.

Fans have also jumped in on the action, sharing BTS moments on X. One user excitedly tracked the filming schedule, noting that the first day of the shoot on September 15 featured Kriti, Shahid, and Rashmika together, while day two, September 16, had them filming in Sicily with Adajania explaining the scenes.


As for the film itself, Cocktail 2 is being shot against the scenic backdrop of Sicily and is expected to recapture the magic of the original.
