Chirag Shetty-Satwiksairaj Rankireddy win $27,650 in prize money

The match was nothing short of a thriller that lasted a little over an hour. It was a rematch of the Australian Open where the Chinese had won, earlier this year. That too like this one was a close battle. Rankireddy and Shetty managed to play their best badminton at key moments ensuring they changed the result this time.
There was a lot of cheer and congratulations poured in from all over for the youngsters, but the prize money was not clear. The Thailand Open total prize money is USD 350,000 as per the Badminton World Federation (BWF) website. According to Badminton Asia's Twitter handle, the Indians who are now World No 10 won USD 27,650 in prize money.
