Chester Bennington's widow announces engagement, says one can find love after tragedy

NEW DELHI: Widow of Linkin Park's late frontman Chester Bennington is engaged to be married. Talinda Bennington shared the news on social media last week, and disclosed the name of fiancé - Michael F.
In her image caption, she said that this news 'doesn't shrink or push out those that have already taken root'. She mentioned that she continues to love Chester and would honour him by living her life in love and happiness. "He would want that for me," she added.
She further debunked the rumours of her November 2017 engagement. Her caption reads, 'please stop listening to someone who no longer knows me or my family, and is desperately trying to stay relevant."
Her post read," I am overjoyed to announce my engagement to my angel on earth, Michael F. I am here to tell you that you can find love after tragedy. That a death of a soulmate does not mean the death of you. My family, friends, and my Linkin Park brothers welcome him to the family with open arms. I will continue to honour Chester and continue my life's mission to make his passing not in vein (sic). To all Suicide Loss Survivors, you can be happy again. You can have space in your heart for grief, joy, happiness, sadness, and love. Thank you for all of your continued love and support".
Chester, who married Talinda in 2006 and shared three kids together, died by suicide in 2017 at the age of 41.
On April 5, 1994, the world lost Kurt Cobain, who, at age 27, had committed suicide at his Seattle home with a 20-gauge shotgun. His body was found two days later. Cobain’s body had been found to contain high traces of heroin and valium when he died, though at the time of his death, Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic dismissed the idea that his drug habit was the reason he killed himself. On April 5, he locked himself in a room above his garage and shot himself in the head. A radio station was the first to broadcast the news, which shook not just the music industry, but the entire the world.
