Set against the backdrop of pre-independence Hyderabad, Champion blends sports ambition with historical drama. The story follows Michael C. Williams (Roshan Meka), an Anglo-Indian youth from Secunderabad who dreams of playing professional football in England. However, circumstances entangle him in the 1947 Telangana revolt against the Razakars, leading to unforeseen challenges that test both his courage and resolve.


The narrative draws inspiration from real events surrounding the Bhairanpally village uprising, although Michael’s character remains fictional. The film explores themes of ambition, rebellion, and perseverance, weaving a personal journey into a larger historical context.
