CES 2023: Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon tool will compete with Apple's SOS feature

The annual CES (consumer electronics) on Thursday opened its doors in Las Vegas to the world's largest tech extravaganza as several big brands showed off their latest innovations.

At CES 2023, Day 1 gave the tech enthusiasts a glimpse of the future which seems full of automated vehicles, on-the-job virtual reality, robotics to make workplaces more efficient. Here's a look at the highlights from Day 1 of CES 2023.

At the tech event, Sony unveiled a new high-tech prototype car called the Afeela which will come with the company's sensors and Honda's safety along with other intelligent technologies. The car will be a 50-50 joint venture between Sony and Honda.

After the fold and the flip, Samsung has unveiled its newest product, the Flex Hybrid OLED, a display panel that folds and also slides! These panels can be used in smartphones, tablets and laptop computers.

A Germany-based company Holoride teased their new VR headset which allows passengers to enter the world of video games or even stream Netflix and scroll through Instagram while they are riding in their car. The VR headsets are designed in such a unique way that you move in the virtual world if the car is moving, preventing car sickness.

What if you didn't need to wear those chunky glasses to experience objects flying and zooming out of the screen? Well, the new OLED screen in the upcoming Asus laptop provides a 3D experience for users without the glasses. The OLED panel uses eye-tracking technology to deliver out of screen 3D experience.

Though LG unveiled the world's largest 97-inch OLED TV in 2022, this year the tech company revealed the Bluetooth variant, which means no more hassle with the jumble of cords or trying to put the wires away from the décor.
